RECORD YOUR RESEARCH, TELL YOUR STORY
Cadey Korson of the School of People, Environment and Planning at Massey University is providing an opportunity to researchers
to record a short video about your research or a current project, engage in a conversation with others about the relevance of geography, create a video abstract for an upcoming publication, or share your geography journey. All videos will be edited by Cadey Korson (Communications Officer, NZGS), and copies made available to the relevant contributor(s) after the conference. Videos will also be posted on the NZGS YouTube Channel as a way to share the breadth and depth of our discipline with the wider public, teachers, students and aspiring geographers. Cadey will set up a mini recording studio and contributors will be welcome to schedule a 5-10-minute timeslot during the session or schedule another time to record during the conference (space and time allowing). It may be possible to accommodate recording sessions via zoom for online presenters after the conference. A media release will be provided prior to recording and some advice about appearing on camera offered. This is intended to be a friendly, informal and low-pressure environment, but a wonderful opportunity to capture some of the interesting debates we are engaging in and showcase the work that is being done across our discipline.
Recording will take place in Room E128 beside the registration table on Thursday 2.20 -4pm.
Contributors need to contact Cadey directly in advance of the conference to discuss potential topics, ideas or concerns. [email protected]
